  • Andrea Jo DeWerd is a book marketing strategist, consultant, writer, speaker, and the founder of the future of agency LLC, a book marketing and publishing consulting agency headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. Andrea is also the co-founder of MADonna Writing Retreats, a luxury writing retreat experience in Barcelona. A 13–year veteran of Big 5 publishing with 105+ career NYT bestsellers, most recently at HarperCollins, Andrea’s experience ranges from commercial (Mary Higgins Clark) and literary fiction (Elizabeth Strout), memoir (Educated by Tara Westover) and narrative non-fiction (former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch), to health and wellness (Dr. Sara Gottfried), business books (Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff), cookbooks (Pati Jinich’s Treasures of the Mexican Table), and bestselling lifestyle brands (The Whole 30).

    Andrea previously held positions at HMH Books & Media, Random House, Spiegel & Grau, and Simon & Schuster, and was honored by Publishers Weekly as a 2019 Star Watch finalist. Andrea received her M.S. in Publishing from New York University and B.A. in English from the George Washington University. Andrea's debut novel, What We Sacrifice for Magic, will be published by Alcove Press in fall 2024, and she is hard at work on her second. Andrea is represented by Kate McKean at Morhaim Literary.

  • Amanda R. Livingston is a Marketing Manager at the future of agency LLC. With extensive experience in social media, marketing, writing, and editing, her background is primarily in children’s and adult book marketing. Amanda has worked on books such as Slay by Brittney Morris, Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti, Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From by Jennifer De Leon, The Farewell Tour by Stephanie Clifford, Own Your Space by Alexandra Gater, Bad Jews by Emily Tamkin, and more. She previously worked at Simon & Schuster in the education and library division, Scholastic in corporate communications, and HarperCollins with the Harper Books imprint.

    Amanda went to Ithaca College for her B.A. in Writing, and also holds a masters in Publishing: Digital and Print Media from New York University’s School of Professional Studies. Outside of work, Amanda loves birthdays, reality television, and spending time with her friends.

  • Jennifer Proffitt is a seasoned professional with 12 years of experience in digital marketing, copywriting, and content strategy. She has worked with all Big 5 publishers, bestselling authors (Nora Roberts, Julia Quinn, Colleen Hoover, Sarah J. Maas), nonprofits (Brooklyn Public Library), and Web3 startups (Nifty’s). Her achievements include collaborating on major IPs (Game of Thrones, The Matrix, Looney Tunes) and contributing to the award-winning Books Unbanned initiative at Brooklyn Public Library.

    Jennifer holds a B.A. in Journalism from Webster University. Her work has received recognition from the Anthem Awards, Romance Writers of America, and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutes.

  • Kelly Dasta is a book marketing strategist with an arsenal of experience across adult fiction and nonfiction. She has worked on New York Times & USA Today bestselling campaigns for Karin Slaughter, Simon Shuster, Elizabeth Poett, Thea Guanzon, Julie Murphy, and Sierra Simone, along with Reese's Book Club pick campaigns for Rainbow Rowell and Yulin Kuang. She previously held positions at the William Morrow imprint of HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster Audio.

    Kelly is an MFA candidate at the Writer's Foundry at St. Joseph's University. She received her BA in English Writing and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time she enjoys going to indie punk shows, getting lost in museums, and watching ducks at the park.

    Sandra has collaborated with renowned publishing house Penguin Random House, where she contributed to the promotion of bestselling books and authors. Her designs are informed by a deep understanding of branding and a passion for storytelling, making her a trusted partner in bringing creative visions to life.

    Beyond her design work, Sandra enjoys reading science fiction, romance, and East Asian comics.

    Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Art History, Maurice seamlessly blends creativity and strategic thinking. Beyond the design desk, you'll find him hosting lively dinner parties in his East Village shoebox apartment, perfecting gluten-free fried chicken with a miraculously crispy skin—sans regular breadcrumbs. When not in the kitchen or the studio, Maurice adds a touch of spontaneity to life by hitting improv jams and open mics.

  • Sara Mehelic is a Marketing Intern at the future of agency LLC. Prior to the future of agency LLC, she was a Consumer Engagement and Children’s Marketing Intern at ABRAMS, where she worked on marketing campaigns for books such as Nightbane by Alex Aster, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: No Brainer by Jeff Kinney, and Dead Girls Walking by Sami Ellis.

    Sara holds a B.A. in Design with a minor in English from the University of California, Davis and is currently completing her M.S. in Publishing at New York University. In her free time, Sara enjoys exploring NYC parks and gardens, watching reality tv with friends, walking along the Hudson, and searching for the best strawberry matcha in the city.
